The Department of Inspection for Factories and Establishments (DIFE) successfully conducted inspections at 15 local RMG towers in Keraniganj. Bangladesh Labour Foundation (BLF) supported and collaborated with DIFE in this initiative. A total of 28 DIFE officials, organized into five dedicated teams, led the inspections. Each team was also accompanied by one BLF representative and one representative from the local trade union.
The key objectives of today’s inspection were to:
- Collect first-hand visual data, including photos and videos, on the overall workplace environment.
- Assess existing occupational health and safety standards.
- Monitor the current situation regarding child labour.
- Identify key challenges and recommend actionable solutions.
We sincerely appreciate DIFE’s strong commitment, continued engagement, and support toward improving working conditions and promoting safer and more decent workplaces in Keraniganj.
