The “𝗠𝗲𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗻 𝗦𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗔𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 (𝗡𝗣𝗔) 𝗼𝗻 𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗱 𝗟𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲-𝟮𝟬𝟯𝟬” was jointly organized today by the Ministry of Labour and Employment (MoLE), the Department of Inspection for Factories and Establishments (DIFE), and the International Labour Organization (ILO) at the Bangladesh-China International Conference Center (BCICC), reaffirming the collective commitment to eliminating child labour in Bangladesh.
The meeting was chaired by Md. Abdur Rahman Tarafder, Secretary, Ministry of Labour and Employment, and attended by the Inspector General of the Department of Inspection for Factories and Establishments (DIFE), the ILO Country Director, representatives of development partners, employers’ and workers’ organizations, civil society organizations, and other key stakeholders.
The meeting focused on sharing the National Plan of Action (NPA) on Child Labour 2026–2030, presenting its strategic priorities, key interventions, implementation framework, and roadmap for accelerating the elimination of child labour across Bangladesh.

Bangladesh Labour Foundation (BLF) proudly contributed to the development of the National Plan of Action as an active member of the Drafting Committee, Review Committee, and Working Committee. Through technical expertise, policy recommendations, and continuous engagement throughout the drafting and review process, BLF supported the formulation of this important national framework.
