A National Dialogue on the Priority-Based Action Plan for Implementing the Labour Reform Commission’s Recommendations on Eliminating Child Labour

A national dialogue on the priority-based action plan for implementing the Labour Reform Commission’s recommendations on eliminating child labour was organized by Bangladesh Labour Foundation (BLF) on August 11, 2025, at a hotel in the capital. 

In the dialogue, participants recommended enhancing the power of the Department of Inspection for Factories and Establishments (DIFE) officials to increase inspections in every sector aimed at eliminating child labour. They also emphasized increasing subsidies and ensuring fundamental rights. 

The event was graced by the presence of the Guest of Honour, Amal Krishna Mondal, Additional Secretary of the Ministry of Labour and Employment, and featured an address by Syed Sultan Uddin Ahmed, Chairman of the Labour Reform Commission.
