United for a Child Labour-Free Keraniganj: World Day Against Child Labour 2025

On 19 June 2025, in observance of World Day Against Child Labour, Bangladesh Labour Foundation (BLF), in collaboration with the Department of Inspection for Factories and Establishments (DIFE) and the Keraniganj Upazila Administration, organized a day-long programme in Keraniganj, Dhaka. The event included a colorful rally, a symbolic balloon release, and a discussion meeting aimed at accelerating efforts to eliminate child labour – especially from the informal Ready-Made Garment (RMG) sector. Stakeholders emphasized stronger law enforcement, child protection, awareness building, and sustainable support for vulnerable families to ensure every child’s right to education, safety, and dignity.
